Autumn Apple Tart
5 cups Yellow Delicious apples, peeled, cored and sliced
½ tsp cinnamon
2-3 Tbsp arrowroot
¼ tsp xanthan gum
½ cup agave nectar
- Good substitutions for apples include Granny Smith and Gravenstein. If apples are especially sweet, be sure to stick with ½ cup agave nectar. If the apples are tart, like Granny Smiths, then ¾ agave nectar is more appropriate.
- Combine all dry ingredients then mix in with the apples and agave nectar.
- Place the apple mixture onto the gluten-free crust (see recipe from Susan O’Brien).
