DōMatcha® is 100% authentic Japanese stone-ground green tea, directly from Kagoshima and Uji, Kyoto where Japanese matcha originated, and where most premium matcha is produced today. It is a delicious and nutrient dense tea and the ideal complement to a lifestyle that aims for health and vitality. One of the most unexpected benefits of matcha tea, is that drinkers experience a boost of energy throughout the day. In one study, researchers had thought that this was from the caffeine in matcha, but they found that it was actually the combination of matcha’s natural properties. Another recent study found that matcha even improved physical endurance by up to 24%. A study featured in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition found that consuming matcha green tea can increase thermogenesis (the body’s own rate of burning calories) from a normal 8%-10% of daily energy expenditure, to between 35% and 43% of daily energy expenditure. And that’s not all: Matcha powdered green tea has 137 times more antioxidants than regularly brewed green tea. One cup of matcha = 10 cups of regularly brewed green tea in terms of nutritional content. When you drink matcha you ingest the entire leaf and receive 100% of the nutrients of the leaf.

If you find yourself rushing from task to task during the day and forgetting to drink enough water(we’re all guilty of that!), here are some reminders for why it’s so important to keep that reusable water bottle with you wherever you go. 1. Water is life. Staying hydrated is an essential factor in keeping the metabolism running hot, reducing cravings, and stabilizing blood sugar levels. Being dehydrated can reduce performance as well as slow down the recovery process. Exercise increases the body’s need for water and electrolytes so if you are exercising daily and then rushing through your day and forgetting to maintain hydration levels, you could be doing more damage than you think. 2. Water plays a vital role in removing waste toxins from your body, especially from muscle damage after a heavy workout. Increasing your fluid intake can help prevent toxins from building up in the body and negatively impacting the immune system. 3. Water also plays an essential role in helping the cells in your body in the regeneration process. So not only are you helping your body to recover faster by maintaining proper hydration and electrolyte balance, you’re helping your skin, hair, heart, etc, regenerate. Even if you are just sitting on the couch, your body is hard at work and needs plenty of hydration to do its job well. It’s important to include electrolytes in your water to be sure you are getting the minerals your body needs to maintain its fluid balance. 4. Consume a minimum amount of fluid equal to half your body weight in ounces every day. Start early in the morning and hydrate throughout the day. Add Ultima Replenisher electrolyte powder to your water to help maintain essential electrolyte balance. Electrolytes and trace minerals like potassium, magnesium, sodium, chloride, calcium, phosphorous all work together to regulate how much water you have in your body as well as important muscle function.
