If you haven’t tried cold brew tea, you’re in for a treat! There is no heat involved when cold brewing, so any tannic/bitter flavors that might otherwise come out are usually absent. It makes for a smooth, refreshing iced tea. Plus, cold brewing is just so simple!
What to do:
1. Grab a mason jar, or other wide-mouthed receptacle. A quart jar works great for one person, a gallon if you’re having company,
2. Add 1 Tbl of Good Medicine Punchbowl Falls Loose Leaf Tea for every cup (8 oz) of tea that you plan to make. Note: you can play with this to make it lighter (less leaf) or stronger (more leaf).
3. Add cold water.
4. Cap the jar and refrigerate 6 - 12 hours.
5. Strain the leaves out and voilé, you have cold brew tea.
Serve over ice and enjoy!
Optional add-ins to kick it up a notch: Fresh strawberries or blueberries, fresh mint leaves and sweetener of your choice.
Cheers!
